March Programs

Dinner and a Movie is Back: For one night only!

            The Cavendish Fletcher Community Library will host a “Dinner and a Movie” event at 3:00 PM on March 27 in the library.  The featured movie will be Julie and Julia (2009) starring Amy Adams and Meryl Streep.  Julia Child's (Streep) story of her start in the cooking profession is intertwined with blogger Julie Powell's (Adams) 2002 challenge to cook all the recipes in Child's first book.  A generous sampling of food from Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking will be served.   This event is free, but donations are accepted.

3/3 Afterschool Program, Grades K&1, Booksploration.  Book:  “The Lion’s Share” Craft:  Make and bake a (fake) cake!

 3/4 Afterschool Program, Itchy Fingers, Grades 4-6, Fun with felt.  Learn the basics of sewing and make animals, flowers and creatures out of felt.

 3/10 Afterschool Program, Grades K&1, Booksploration:  Book: “My Truck is Stuck!”

 3/11 Afterschool Program, Club 23, Grades 2&3 Dragon Eggs and cave.

3/18 Afterschool Program, Itchy Fingers, Grades 4-6, Make a funky pincushion out of scrap fabric

3/24 Afterschool Program, Booksploration, Grades K&1, Book:  “The Magic Raincoat”

3/25 Afterschool Program,  Club 23, Grades 2&3, The Attack of the Evil Cupcakes… wooo-hahaha!!!

3/27 Dinner and A Movie– Julie and Julia menu– beef bourginion,  chocolate cake and more!

3/31—Library closed for In-Service Day
